Vineyard Management

Natural resources define the identity of our wines, and this is why we work to protect and preserve their properties.

Through methods with low environmental impact, we strive to improve the conservation of natural resources in rural areas through agricultural and environmental measures. We conduct integrated control of insects and diseases through a combination of methods that include sexual confusion and the integration of strategically placed niches in the vineyards. Only organic fertilizers from traditional farms are used, where no concentrated feed is given to the animals, and grass cover crops are left between the rows.

Our Relationship with the Vineyard

Hands guided by the sensitivity of those who have a special relationship with the vineyard.

Vineyard management is an integral part of the wine that we find in our glass. For this fundamental reason, we take great care with each process, and this is added to the sensitivity and experience of those who know and respect the plant. We focus on the terroir, which is as rich as it is delicate, with the finesse that Barbaresco requires. Each vintage is different, and through pruning, canopy management, and fruit thinning, we respond to seasonal patterns to obtain balance and maximum quality.

The Vineyard, a Living Place

The vineyard is not just our home. For many years, the song of the sparrows has accompanied us among the rows.

And for several years now, we have subscribed to Coldiretti’s Green Experience project, which is aimed at protecting and reintegrating our region’s biodiversity. We have scattered birdhouses throughout our vineyards and, over time, many birds have moved in. In addition to controlling pests in the vineyard, their chirping adds a touch of cheerfulness to our time spent among the vines.

From the Vineyard to the Cellar

Among the oak and steel barrels, where the work of many months comes to life and the fruits of the earth end up in the glass.

Our wines are fermented in stainless steel barrels at a controlled temperature (for reds, 28-30 ° C for approximately one week, and 18-20 ° C for whites). After malolactic fermentation carried out partially in wood, the wines go through their own aging process in French oak barrels and then in bottles.
